A well maintained, 1950’s raised ranch, with a small 90’s eat-in kitchen.

This 90’s kitchen, in a 1950’s raised ranch home was “the cat’s meow” when it was first installed but with white thermofoil cabinets, laminate countertops and linoleum flooring it is in much need of updating.

The home owners were concerned with the scarcity of countertop space and improving on accessible storage for everyday convenience. They also asked for a plac to sit and enjoy each other’s company without taking away from the functionality and flow of their new kitchen space.

After listening to their requests our designer set out to give them all that they asked for. We removed the soffits and extended the wall cabinets to the ceiling. We then moved the dishwasher into a newly added peninsula, with base waste storage, which increased the countertop space for food prep and seating. With a few finishing touches the kitchen was complete.

Andrea and Richard were very happy with the results and I’m sure their cats were too.

“Our 25+ year old kitchen was getting pretty shabby and worn and really needed a complete gut and rebuild. I wanted a company that would do the full design/build process as I felt rather intimidated and overwhelmed by the project. After meeting with several companies, my husband and I chose Masters Kitchen and Bath. Joe Spina and Jennifer DiMeo helped us through the whole design process and product selection and were a pleasure to work with. They came up with a way to squeeze extra room out of the existing space to allow for a peninsula, something we really wanted.
Zeljko was a one-man show during the construction part of the project. He arrived every morning with a smile, and did *everything* – tile work, electrical work, lighting, appliance installation, flooring, you name it – he did it and did it exceptionally well. Having Zeljko bring our kitchen to life was such a thrill and I’m so happy with how everything turned out. As with any construction job, there are always surprises but Zeljko always found a way to solve any problem. He always checked in with us to answer any questions he had or make any necessary decisions. He answered all our own questions as well and addressed any concerns we had during the process. The constant communication was really important and is what helps make a project successful.
Masters also stands by their work with a five year warranty. We did have to ask them to come back for a minor repair to some caulking and Masters sent Z within 48 hours to take care of it. Lots of companies are there for you before you finish paying them. It takes a great company to be there down the road a bit. I would highly recommend Masters Kitchen and Bath – and Zeljko!”
