This 1930’s Georgian, in Park Ridge, has an existing rear addition with a dated fireplace in the family room. The desk wasn’t functioning as a desk at all and was now being used to store electronic components. She wanted a bright modern looking wall. So, we chose to close up the window to the right of the fireplace for symmetry, we then enlisted a company to install a new firebox. Our construction specialist built a stair step mantle and installed natural marble subway tile to the face of the fire surround. With ample cabinet storage and glass transom doors the client can now customize her space.
