This Palatine kitchen already had great bones: a roomy U-shaped layout, a peninsula made for morning coffee, and a full wall of storage that doubles as display space. The goal was to keep everything that worked and give the whole room a fresher, brighter feel.

We started with custom maple cabinets painted in a clean white shaker style. The simple panels give the space a calm, updated look, and stacked crown molding carries the cabinetry up toward the ceiling. We kept the prairie-style glass doors the homeowners loved, so their teapots, glassware, and blue-and-white china still have a place to shine, now with interior lighting to show them off.

Soft white quartz countertops run across the perimeter and peninsula, paired with a crisp white tile backsplash for a light, airy finish that’s easy to keep clean. Bronze bar pulls add warmth against all that white and tie in nicely with the wood-look floors.

The hutch wall got some love too, with a tall pantry, a built-in serving counter with under-cabinet lighting, and a neatly framed spot for the refrigerator. It’s a great landing zone for entertaining.

Our kitchen is absolutely stunning!! We couldn’t be happier with the wonderful work done by Masters Kitchen & Bath. From the day we walked in the showroom and visited with Sandra to set up our appointment, blindly…we just had no idea what fabulous experience we would be having. We came back to learn all about remodeling our kitchen with Jennifer and Sasho. They answered all our questions and we picked out our beautiful cabinets, backsplash, handles, countertops, sink, and faucet….they were such help putting all the lovely pieces together. We got to go to their warehouse and pick out our slab too…they are a fabulous company and we highly recommend them. Alin our installer was absolutely wonderful, came here on time every morning … did the demolition and was as neat as a pin. Put up a clear plastic tarp to divide our rooms, and he worked from the moment he walked through the door until he left for the day! He is so talented…our kitchen is absolutely gorgeous!! He would clean up every day too, just a very dedicated worked to his craft and to his client as well. We got to know him on a personal level too as he was here 4 1/2 weeks. A great, wonderful guy, friendly and answered any questions we had as well. We just couldn’t be happier with our bright new white kitchen, and the detail that Alin put into his work every single day. So if you are thinking about using Masters for any Kitchen or Bath work, we would absolutely recommend them. We would use them again!! Its a very happy kitchen to be in and we get so many compliments from everyone who comes over. Masters are the best!!!
